Why God gave us two ears and one mouth..

Matthew 10:19-20
But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

"Ability of speech in time and season is an especial gift of God, and that eminently with respect unto the spiritual things of the Gospel; but a profluency of speech, venting itself on all occasions and on no occasions, making men open their mouths wide when indeed they should shut them and open their ears, and to pour out all that they know and ... what they do not know, making them angry if they are not heard and impatient if they are contradicted, is an unconquerable fortification against all true spiritual wisdom. "
John Owen (1616-1683)

I think this speaks for me because many times, I worry about not knowing how to put something across in the right way (that will be accepted by the listener) and there are many many instances where I unintentionally caused hurt and pain to people I care about with my careless words.

God is telling us to use our two ears to listen FIRST, then with wisdom, we open our mouth to speak, for Proverbs 18:21a tells us that "Death and life are in the power of the tongue."

Dear God, teach me to be patient and a good listener and when I speak, let the words be guided by the Holy Spirit and not of my flesh.

MOL Tokyo Oct 2006

A big thank you to Joy, who painstakingly edited this and uploaded it! *hug*

Magic of Love in Tokyo (6th Oct - 8th Oct 2006)

Ok here it is, almost one month late.. my report on MOL. Magic of Love will open tonight at Shenyang, China so I am keeping Ps Khong and the team in prayers.

The 4 shows went very well, the first show on Friday was supported by the Singapore Embassy in Japan so we were very honored to have many distinguished diplomats who showed up to watch the performance.

We saw many familiar faces and friends from Shinjuku Shalom Church, Saitama Shalom Church, Ogikubo Glory Church during the Evangelistic show on Saturday afternoon. Thank you to the churches in Japan who snapped up the tickets and brought their friends to support us!

Xinyi and Yihui came on Saturday night, together with Benjamin (who endured a loooong bus journey to come to Tokyo from Fukushima). I was happy to introduce two of them, both who are so much part of my life in Tokyo to Ps Christina and all my Singapore friends. They came really early to support me and I am thankful to them for helping me with the sales. シン、イケ、ありがとうね、うれしかった!Thank you to Junee, who bought the tickets as presents for my dear friends, am sure they were greatly blessed!

Saturday was a tiring day cos we went really early to set up the stuff and we had two shows so there wasn`t much time to rest but we heard about the warm responses of the audience and the team was really glad.

Sunday afternoon was the last show.. saw people from my school cos Ps Caleb gave me some free tickets to bless the students in my school. My classmates came and they told me they were quite amazed with the magic! Yeah ;)

Ok let the photos do the talking... since a picture is worth a million words (chinese proverb) *grin*
