I miss my piano....
Welcome to my second home in Tokyo.. I have never practised so hard in my life before! Although I am not playing any chim pieces like Rachmaninov or Chopin, but I feel the pressure and expectations of my teacher weighing on my shoulders... exams in 2 weeks, got to play in front of 6 teachers.... please keep me in your prayers! So nervous!

Nothing beats the feel and touch of a real piano. Yamaha也好。。。
Woohoo.. this is exciting practice room no. 2! This is located on the 6th floor of this super old building in my school, at least it is not a tiny room, but a decent classroom, with 2 Yamahas inside.

Very funny, the Japanese likes to use this kind of chair with a backing.. manufactured by Yamaha. I wonder why... There is a mirror for you to check your hair? Nah, it is for other musicians to check their posture/embouchure..
Lastly, the most exciting studio... the one in which I have my weekly 40 minutes lesson..

My teacher asked me to choose if I want to play on the Bosendorfer or Yamaha.. but turned out that I don't have enough strength to produce a good sound on the 好货 Bosendorfer so settled for Yamaha.

See? The strange chair with a backing is back! The room is so spacious that it can accomodate a sitting audience of maybe 20 people! Cool bananas! But I think this room is not available for practise... sob.. This is also where I will be taking my exams with 6 pairs of eyes staring at me from behind..

My teacher will sit at the Bosendorfer usually, with her set of scores while I play on the Yamaha on the left.. kinda different from Singapore, where the teacher just sits next to the student.. I guess this is Japan... they spare no expense... only the best for the musicians...

I miss my piano...好想换 grand piano...

So Mr 沈劭聪,if you are reading this, be thankful that you have a lovely C6 (or the exciting Germany piano next door) at your disposal. I have to fight with other people to practise in this prison-like cell. *sob*
