Journey
A lot has happened since 2006. Was fumbling around with my portable hard disk when i opened a file that i happened to save before i came to Tokyo in Feb 2006. It was a short but poignant conversation i had with my first cell leader over MSN.

But I think I finally understood how to walk with God in this journey.

but I kinda of appreciate it that God has use this journey to make me hungry for Him
Looking back, i cannot believe i have survived 18 months of indepedent living here in sushi-land. Of course, many angels have extended their helping hands along the way, thank you God for planting these people in my path, I wouldn`t be able to do it without all of you!
But now I suddenly understood, why so many things had to happen, and in every situation, our gentle God allows us to react in whatever way we wanted, but truly taking the positive-never-give-up stand has proven, time and again, to be the best way out. Not the least painful, but definitely the most hopeful.
No matter what situation you are in now, take a moment to reflect and give thanks for the fact that God has allowed it to happen NOW and HERE and TO YOU. Nothing is an accident and YOU, yes You, us, we are all God`s precious creations and He knows EXACTLY what He is doing when He allows you to go through a certain trial.
Be encouraged by His promises that He will take hold of your hand and be with you throughout every valley and when the testing is done, you will come forth as gold and emerge stronger, closer to God.
I like this verse a lot. Didn`t really reflect on the meaning until Ps Yeang Cherng shed some light on it when he gave me this verse.
Psalm 37:23-24
"If the LORD delights in a man's way, He makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with His hand."
Amen to this! Even though we may take a wrong step, God will be there to uphold us. As long as God is the centre of what you are doing, even though you are not sure, even though you may slip, rest in the fact that God is still holding us in His hand! How awesome is that!
Was trying to explain the term `awesome` to a friend. I think its meaning is better `experienced` rather than to try to define it using words.
Well, it has been a spectacular journey for me, someone who has come a long way since whining in merlion-city and learning the real meaning of h-u-m-i-l-i-t-y here in sushi-land.. it hasn`t always been sunshine and fluffy clouds but the joy of the hope that goes beyond the tears was and will be the motivation for me to endure the rough patches.
Afterall, God gave us a special weapon - our hands and our legs to move through the rough terrain and to slow down and kneel before Him and lift up our hands in thanksgiving and worship when the going gets smoother/easier.
Focus on the rainbow that will come after the thunderstorm. Because you can do all things through Him who strengthens you. (Philippians 4:13)
Not an easy ride but definitely an exciting one with God at the wheel! Woohoo! Come on, hop on for this highly unique and personalised ride that only you and God will experience in your lifetime!

The divine exchange: Jesus exchanged His life for yours.
One of my favourite worship song - Divine Exchange. The place where only you and God meet. Now this is what i call `AWESOME`!! Never fail to move me to tears each time I sing this song.
