Heartful Camp@河口湖

During Golden week this year (May 2008), our church held our annual camp at Nagano again. I remembered coming here with the FCBC team in 2006 for the Encounter Weekend. That was 2 years ago! Time flies when you are having fun!

The whole lot of us took the coach from Shinjuku after 3rd service and the journey took about 2 hours.

A magnificent view of 富士山 awaits us behind 河口湖station. Up close and personal... it looks snowy??!!

Yummy dinner...

My little roommate... 天音ちゃん looking cute in a bib.

Worship at the big hall where we had our sessions.

We were split up into 3 groups to present a skit on the fruits of the Spirit. The adults from 1st and 2nd service got the theme of `Peace`.

They were in a drawing class and had to draw pictures to depict what is meant by `peace`.

温柔爸爸as we affectionately called him, drew a picture of a mummy bird and her babies resting in their nest in the midst of a storm. `True peace`, he explained, was the ability to trust God and rest in the midst of whatever difficult circumstance you are going through. BRAVO~

Next, the guys from 3rd service presented a skit on `柔和 (nyu-wa)`... which can be translated as `kindness`. They depicted several scenes where someone displayed the behavior of `Love is kind`... they got a catchy slogan going ` Nyu-wa-wa-wa-` which got everyone laughing.
Steven here, pretending to be in lift with many people.... when suddenly there was a weird smell..

Being nyu-wa... he stepped out boldly and confessed that he was the one responsible for the smell.. haha..super funny lor! :D

The guys seemed to be enjoying themselves..

As for us girls, we presented a skit of Moses and the people receiving manna from heaven and the theme of `joy`.

My roommates... 5 ladies and a baby ;D

Mummy and baby mia-ing...

The lovely view of the lake from the hotel..

Pastor Elmer interpreting for Pastor Evan Carmichael from Hawaii, who gave great sermons on character building.
